Water Museum Application & Animation - The Dutch Water Museum

The Dutch Water Museum is a museum that focuses on all aspects of water. As part of my graduation project, I developed the Water Power Quiz for the museum, using various research methods. The concept, communication tools, and visual design of the quiz were tailored to the preferences of the target audience and based on feedback from the Water Museum staff.

With the Water Power Quiz, we aim to inform museum visitors in an interactive and accessible way about both the history of the museum building and the operation of sustainable forms of water-related energy, such as the water wheel. Before playing the quiz, users form teams and must be in front of the museum entrance. The quiz questions in the application guide users through various supporting elements, for example, two informative walls, an information board, and the water wheel. Each communication tool provides users with information through interactive, readable, and/or visual elements. The project was completed within 20 weeks and is yet to be implemented in the museum.
